How do animal sponsorship gifts work?
An animal sponsorship gift is a monthly donation made in someone’s name. From £30 a month it is a monthly gift to WARN’s general fund, named after a kind of care — a kennel, a cat pod, a sanctuary place. World Animal Rescue Network emails you, the payer, a receipt and sends no certificate, and we cannot promise progress updates, so print a free gift card from Charity Shop to hand over. You can change or cancel at any time. Nobody takes the animal home.

What does the recipient actually get?
Not a live animal, and nothing from WARN. World Animal Rescue Network emails you, the payer, a receipt; it does not send a certificate for these gifts, and we cannot promise progress updates. What the recipient gets is what you hand them: a card with their name, the kind of care you chose and your message.

What does the money buy each month?
Each sponsorship is priced at a suggested amount for a named piece of care. Examples: £30 a month is the suggested amount for a warm cat pod; £40 a rescue dog’s kennel; £50 a donkey’s sanctuary place; £75 a share of an elephant’s sanctuary care.

Pick the animal, choose the monthly tag, add the recipient’s name and occasion, then complete payment on WARN’s secure page. Gift details travel in the handoff, but WARN’s page does not show them and WARN sends no certificate. Make a printable card here to give them. Is a sponsorship the same as adopting an animal?
No. Large UK charities often sell symbolic adoptions: a donation to species or programme work, sometimes with a toy and a pack. A sponsorship here is a gift to WARN’s general fund at a suggested amount, named after a kind of care. Neither lets you take an animal home. Mixing the two in your head is how people get disappointed.

Can you cancel, pause, or change animal later?
Yes. Sponsorships are managed by World Animal Rescue Network. Change the amount, the animal, or stop. The recipient is not the customer of the recurring payment. We will not invent a lock-in we do not operate.
If a payment has already gone through, refunds follow WARN’s own terms — contact them, not a till that does not exist on this domain. Receipts come from WARN because WARN takes the money.
Is Gift Aid available on a sponsorship here?
