Material errors: a wrong price, a legal status we should not have claimed, a statistic we cannot source, a dead locator we treated as live, or a first-hand claim we cannot defend. Typos that do not change meaning are edited in place. Email [email protected] if you spot something.

Gift pages overstated where the money goes
On /charity-gifts, /charity-gift-cards, /animals/dog, the occasion pages and several answers, we said the animal "gets exactly what the tag says" and that prices were "the real cost". Our terms and WARN’s funding information say amounts are suggested donations at typical cost, and that a gift goes to closely equivalent care if that exact need is already met. Every page now says so.

Mother’s Day 2027 date
/gifts-for-mothers-day gave 14 March 2027. Mothering Sunday 2027 is 7 March (three weeks before Easter Sunday, 28 March). Seasonal dates are now calculated rather than typed.

Furniture collection and chain details
/guides/charity-furniture-collection said four charities collect furniture free. Checked against each charity’s own page: the Salvation Army and Cancer Research UK superstores also collect, some Barnardo’s, British Red Cross and Shelter shops collect locally, and Save the Children and Marie Curie do not. Mind’s shop-locator link had stopped working and now points to its current page.

Sponsorship photo captions
Photos on /sponsor pages were described as animals "at a WARN partner rescue". They are illustrative species photos, and are now labelled that way.

Log opened
Public corrections log created as part of the August 2026 editorial-policy pass. No material factual corrections were outstanding at opening. Future rows will name the URL, the old claim, and the replacement.
