What happens to my donation?
Your donation is received by World Animal Rescue Network CIC — an asset-locked community interest company, so no shareholders and no private gain — and directed to the partner shelter work your gift names, across Asia, Africa and South America. You receive a receipt and a personalised e-certificate describing exactly what was funded.

What happens step by step after you click give?
You pick a costed tag here, then complete payment on WARN’s secure donation page — gift and amount carry across. WARN processes the payment and emails your receipt and, for gifts, the personalised e-certificate. From there the money is directed to the work the tag describes: food, vaccinations, vet treatment or sanctuary care at partner shelters and sanctuaries.

What does the asset lock actually mean for your money?
WARN is a community interest company with a statutory asset lock: by law its assets must be used for its community purpose. No dividends, no private extraction; surpluses are reinvested in rescue work. If it ever wound up, remaining assets would pass to another asset-locked body — the nominated recipient is World Animal Protection, a registered charity.

Does any of the donation go to admin?
Running a payment page, certificates and partner grants costs money. We will not invent a percentage we have not audited. What we will say: no shareholders, no private gain, filings public, prices reviewed with partners. If you need a charity that publishes a detailed annual impact pie, choose one that does — many registered charities do that well.
A fake “100% to the animals” line would fail our editorial policy. A CIC with an asset lock is still an organisation with costs. Honesty is the product.
How are prices set, and what if they change?
Gift prices are the real costs of the named care, reviewed quarterly with partner shelters. If a price changes, the tag changes. The review date is printed on every what-the-money-buys table. We do not silently keep an old £10 on the card when the kennel cost moved.

Can you get a refund?
Donations are processed by WARN under its own terms. Contact World Animal Rescue Network directly about a payment already made. This shop window cannot reverse a charge it did not take. Keep the receipt.
If you paid the wrong amount, or meant a different tag, still start with WARN. If the website copy was wrong — a price or a legal claim — that is a corrections-log issue on this domain as well.
Is this the same as putting money in a charity-shop till?
No. A high-street till sells donated goods for a registered charity (usually) and may offer retail Gift Aid on those sales. This till sells costed animal-care tags for a CIC. Different legal person, different stock, different tax treatment. You can do both. Do not mix them in your head.
Donate clothes or give money sorts that choice. Clothes never come here — we have no stockroom.
When will this answer not satisfy you?
