Elephants: charity shop gifts

Sanctuary care for elephants rescued from work and captivity — gifts from £20.

Reviewed — prices checked with partner shelters

How does my donation help elephants?

Your gift supports elephants rescued from logging, tourism and captivity: £20 buys a full day of sanctuary food, £35 funds specialist foot care, £50 covers a vet check, and £75 sponsors a month of sanctuary life. Every elephant rescue gift is sanctuary care, not a ride.

Rescued working elephants carry decades of damage — cracked feet, old wounds, malnutrition. In sanctuary they eat up to 150kg a day and get the foot care and vet attention working life never gave them. Nobody takes an elephant home; the till is the gift tags on this page.

Who should skip this: Skip this page if you wanted to rehome a elephant in the UK — that is the rescue directory, not a gift tag. Skip it if you need Gift Aid: World Animal Rescue Network is a CIC and cannot claim it. Nobody takes this animal home.

Can I take this elephant home?

No. These tags fund named care at partner shelters and sanctuaries. The animal stays there. If you want to adopt or foster in the UK, use the rescue directory and follow that organisation’s process. An animal charity gift is not a pet. Compare sponsor vs adopt.

Is a elephant gift Gift Aid eligible?

No. Donations are received by World Animal Rescue Network CIC. Community interest companies cannot claim Gift Aid, so you will never see a tick-box here. If Gift Aid is required, give to a registered charity instead. The gifts on this page support care without Gift Aid. See about.

Elephant rescue questions

How much does an elephant eat in sanctuary?

A rescued elephant eats up to 150kg of forage, fruit and vegetables a day — about £20 covers a full day’s food, the single biggest cost of sanctuary care. See all elephant rescue gifts.

Can I give a elephant rescue donation as a gift?

Yes. Every donation comes with a personalised e-certificate you can email or print, naming the person you are giving it for — popular for birthdays and gifts in memory. It is a charity gift, not an elephant you visit as a pet.

Can I take this elephant home?

No. Tags on the elephant gift page fund named care at partner shelters and sanctuaries. The elephant stays at the sanctuary.

Is a elephant gift Gift Aid eligible?

No. Donations are received by World Animal Rescue Network CIC, which cannot claim Gift Aid. The gifts still fund care.

Can I sponsor a elephant every month?

Yes. £75 a month sponsors sanctuary care or use monthly elephant sponsorship.
