Hedgehogs: charity shop gifts
Hand-rear hoglets and overwinter underweight hedgehogs — gifts from £5.
Reviewed — prices checked with partner shelters
How does my donation help hedgehogs?
Partner wildlife hospitals hand-rear hundreds of orphaned hedgehogs a year. £5 feeds an orphaned hoglet, £10 keeps one warm on a heat pad, £15 funds an X-ray, and £25 overwinters an underweight hedgehog until spring release. Every hedgehog rescue gift is costed care.
Orphaned and underweight hedgehogs arrive at rescues every autumn — too small to survive hibernation. Hand-feeding, warmth and a safe winter indoors mean they go back to the wild in spring. Nobody takes a hedgehog home; the till is the gift tags on this page.
Who should skip this: Skip this page if you wanted to rehome a hedgehog in the UK — that is the rescue directory, not a gift tag. Skip it if you need Gift Aid: World Animal Rescue Network is a CIC and cannot claim it. Nobody takes this animal home.
Can I take this hedgehog home?
No. These tags fund named care at partner shelters and sanctuaries. The animal stays there. If you want to adopt or foster in the UK, use the rescue directory and follow that organisation’s process. An animal charity gift is not a pet. Compare sponsor vs adopt.
Is a hedgehog gift Gift Aid eligible?
No. Donations are received by World Animal Rescue Network CIC. Community interest companies cannot claim Gift Aid, so you will never see a tick-box here. If Gift Aid is required, give to a registered charity instead. The gifts on this page support care without Gift Aid. See about.

Hedgehog rescue questions
How much does it cost to feed an orphaned hoglet?
£5 funds specialist milk feeds for one hand-reared orphan hoglet. See all hedgehog rescue gifts.
Can I give a hedgehog rescue donation as a gift?
Yes. Every donation comes with a personalised e-certificate you can email or print, naming the person you are giving it for — popular for birthdays and gifts in memory. It is a charity gift, not a hedgehog you take home.
Can I take this hedgehog home?
No. Tags on the hedgehog gift page fund named care at partner shelters and sanctuaries. Recovered hedgehogs are released. For a local wildlife hospital, use the rescue directory.
Is a hedgehog gift Gift Aid eligible?
No. Donations are received by World Animal Rescue Network CIC, which cannot claim Gift Aid. The gifts still fund care.
Why do hedgehogs need overwintering?
Hedgehogs under roughly 600g cannot survive hibernation. Rescues keep them warm and fed indoors through winter — about £25 per hedgehog — then release them in spring.
