How does horse or pony sponsorship work?
Horse and pony sponsorship through Charity Shop supports working equines retired to WARN partner sanctuaries after years of labour. £50 a month funds stable shelter, daily feed, companionship and routine health care for one rescued horse or pony — with a personalised e-certificate, giftable in someone's name.
Your sponsorship tier
You'll complete the donation on World Animal Rescue Network's secure page — the monthly option and the recipient's name carry across.
What sponsorship buys at each tier
| Gift | What it funds | Price |
|---|---|---|
| A week of hay | Seven days of good hay for one rescued donkey or pony. | £12 |
| Pay a farrier visit | Professional hoof trimming for a donkey whose hooves were left to overgrow. | £25 |
| Fund a dental check | A vet dental examination and rasping — most neglected donkeys need it. | £35 |
| Sponsor a sanctuary place | Shelter, feed, companionship and care for one donkey, for one month. | £50/month |
Where your sponsorship goes
Donations are received by World Animal Rescue Network, a community interest company with a statutory asset lock — no shareholders, no private gain — which directs funds to its partner shelters and sanctuaries across Asia, Africa and South America. The about page states the exact legal structure; figures on this page are reviewed quarterly (last review 17 July 2026).
